Glasgow Hosts 28th Annual Scottie Invite

Glasgow played host to the 28th Annual Scottie Invite Dec. 8 and 9 with 27 schools and 352 wrestlers in attendance.

The Scottie boys placed seventh with 99 team points. Khye Gamas, Tyler King, Michael King, Makiya Plummer and Cody Kuka placed for Glasgow. Gamas went 4-0 on the weekend to win the 152 lb. class. M. King took second at 170, T. King fourth at 120, Kuka sixth at 114 and Plummer eighth at 113 lbs.

The Scottie girls scored 46 points to take ninth place. Riley Clampitt pinned Baker's Ryan Gorder to take the girls 145 lbs. title. She went 4-0 over the two-day event. Blake Ozark placed third in the same weight class. Shalynn Pedersen, 132, and Avery Pedersen, 126, each placed sixth in their weight classes while Madison Lamb took sixth at 152 lbs.

Glasgow also attended the Wolf Point Mixer De. 7 where they finished with eight wins and five losses. The boys went 5-4 and the girls posted a 3-1 record.

The Scotties will attend the Fort Benton Mixer Thursday, Dec. 14. Varsity wrestlers will compete at the 46th Annual CMR Holiday Classic in Great Falls Friday and Saturday, Dec. 15-16. JV wrestlers will grapple at the Walt & Trudy Curry Tournament in Great Falls Saturday, Dec. 16.
