Glasgow Places First In Speech Sweeps At Medicine Lake/Froid And Fort Benton Meet

Frazer Also Competes In Both Meets

The Glasgow and Frazer Speech and Drama team traveled to participate in the Medine Lake/Froid meet on Dec. 2.

Under the direction of coaches Carla Swenson and Sheena Wilcox, the Glasgow team placed first in the speech sweeps with Gabe Proctor placing first in humorous oral interpretation (HOI) and Connor Whitmer also placed first in spontaneous oral interpretation (SPOI). Olivia Helland and Ash James placed ninth in humorous duo, Kai Combs placed third in dramatic oral interpretation (DOI) and Mirax Lipscomb placed sixth in humorous solo.

The Frazer team also placed in the top 10 in SPOI with Marick Old Person placing fourth and De'mon Grandchamp placing sixth. Takoa Old Person placed 12th in humorous interpretation.

The Glasgow Speech and Drama teams then traveled to Fort Benton on Dec. 9.

"Our kids did an amazing job!" stated Glasgow Coach Carla Swenson. For the second week in a row, the Glasgow team came in first for Speech Sweeps.

Combs, Whitmer and Proctor helped the team sweep the Class B Speech Sweeps with their first place finishes in their individual events. Combs placed in DOI, Whitmer placed in SPOI and Proctor placed in HOI.

Helland and James came in third their humorous duo event and Edwards placed fourth in dramatic solo.
