Ice Dawgs 2-2 in Sidney Tournament

The Glasgow Ice Dawgs split their four games at the Sidney Tournament this past week. Glasgow beat Minot 4-3, loss 7-1 to Langdon, downed Watford City 8-2, and lost 2-5 to Sidney.

Goalie Jacob Potter faced 35 shots against Minot. Goals came from Charlie Cornwell, assist Bode Barnett; Brody Hansen; Aiden Price, assist Barnett, and Barnett.

Glasgow held their own against the Jr Gold State Champions, Langdon. Potter saw 32 attempts on his net while Barnett scored the Dawgs’ lone goal with help from Hansen.

The Dawgs dominated all three periods against Watford, with a hat trick from Price. Goals came from Zevin Kummerfeldt, assist Tavin Boland; Price, assist Barnett; Price, assists Barnett and Josh Llewellyn; Barnett, assist Hansen; Hansen, assist Barnett; Price, assist Barnett; Kummerfeldt, assist Peyton Smith, and Elijah Howland, assists Barnett and Connor Koski. Potter turned away 13 shots.

Glasgow entered the third period against Sidney down 2-1. The team took some chances, had one goal called back and faced a hot Sidney goaltender. Barnett scored with an assist from Lex Fairclough and had an unassisted goal. Potter saw 25 attempts on his net.

“Great weekend of hockey,” said head coach Michael Hunter. “Jacob Potter was my team MVP this weekend. He gave us a chance in every game.”

The Ice Dawgs travel to Bozeman this weekend. Glasgow takes on the Ice Dogs Saturday, Dec. 9, at 5:45 p.m. and at 9 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 10

The Peewees will be in Billings for a 4:30 p.m game Saturday and an 8:30 a.m. game Sunday.
