Serving Proudly As The Voice Of Valley County Since 1913
Leader Wins Big With Baker's Jewelry Ring
The Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital (FMDH) held their annual fundraiser on Nov. 18 at the Cottonwood Inn. With the theme of "Bubbles and Bling," attendees were dressed in their best formal attire to help raise funds for the Foundation in order to give back. The mission of the Hospital Foundation is to provide financial support to FMDH and other medically needed projects in Valley County, ensuring that the medical services provided are of the highest quality.
The event raised $15,000 towards scholarships for local students going into the medical field and medical equipment for local healthcare and non-health facilities. "We are always blown away by the generosity of this community and are so appreciative to everyone who supported the Bubbles & Bling event this year," stated FMDH Foundation Coordinator Taylor Hohlen in a statement.
In addition to the event being a success for the Foundation, those in attendance also had a great time and some were even successful at winning the fabulous prizes donated by local businesses.
CHMS won the Inflatable Stand-Up Paddle Board from Albertson's
Jeff Sather won the Cabin Fever Gift Basket from Robyn's Nest
Mike Redstone won the Levelheaded Bundle from D&G Sports & Western
Ryan Fast won $200 gift card to Markle's Warehouse and $200 gift card to Markle's Hardware
Rachael Gibb won the Simple Modern 40oz Trek Tumbler from FMDH
Sheila Peterson won the Winter Wonderland Gift Basket and Floral Arrangement from 5th Avenue Pharmacy & Gift
Doris Leader came out as the biggest winner of the evening however when she won the one-of-a-kind emerald cut Montana Sapphire ring from Baker's Jewelry. This is Baker's 13th year partnering with the FMDH foundation every other year, which continues to help make this event successful.
With the meal served by the Cottonwood Inn & Suites, who also helped setup and take down for the event, those in attendance also had the pleasure of listening to Luree Chappell, who set the perfect atmosphere with her piano bar vibes.
The continuous generosity provided to the Foundation benefits the community – family, friend and neighbors – in a variety of ways. Equipment gifted by the FMDH Foundation enhances patient care in all areas of the hospital as well as other community organizations. Currently, the Foundation has the Tree of Life set up for end-of-the-year donations. For more information on the Tree of Life, see page 1C.
All contributions to the FMDH Foundation are tax deducible because the foundation is a 501c3 non-profit organization.
