Bobcats Win GHS BPA Food Drive

Though the Montana Grizzles won on the field Nov. 18 against the Montana State Bobcats during the Brawl of the Wild Contest, the real winner off the field was the Valley County Emergency Food Bank in Glasgow.

The local Business Professionals of America organization at Glasgow High School organized a Cat vs. Griz Food Drive this past week as a way for students, staff and community to get into the Brawl of the Wild Spirit.

From Nov. 13 through 17, students at Irle Elementary, Glasgow Middle School and Glasgow High School donated non-perishable goods while the community also had the opportunity to donate at local grocery stores. While donating, each donor had the opportunity to designate their donation to the Cats or Griz.

At the end of the week, the Bobcats received the most number of items, with 532 to the Griz's 409. Though the Bobcats came out victorious in terms of non-perishable items, the Valley County Emergency Food Bank was able to receive a donation of 941 items, making them the most victorious.
