Jehovah's Witnesses To Host Open House At Remodeled Kingdom Hall In Glasgow

All are welcome to attend a special open house event on Friday, Oct. 20, at the newly remodeled Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on 5th St. in Glasgow.

“The community interest in and support for this project has been just great,” said Roberto Munguia, local spokesperson for Jehovah’s Witnesses in Montana. “We’re excited to invite our neighbors to come take a look around and learn a little about how we use our centers of worship for Bible education.”

During the open house, visitors can tour the building and hear highlights of the construction project, which started May 23. Information about the Christian organization’s educational and construction activities worldwide will be available, with local volunteers on-site to answer questions.

For well over a century, Jehovah’s Witnesses have designed and built their own meeting places. Their Glasgow house of worship, originally built in 1969, was renovated entirely by a total of 260 volunteer ministers, who came specifically to Glasgow to dedicate their time, skills and labor to this special community project.

“We had people from eight states, even as far away as Alaska, come and help us,” said Jurgen Johnson, a Witness in Glasgow. “We’re just so grateful for all of them, as well as our local volunteers!”

The Kingdom Hall will host weekly meetings and ministerial activities for the Glasgow congregation. The hall is one of nearly 5,900 in the United States used by over 1.2 million Witnesses across the United States.

The open house will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Oct. 20, at 425 5th St. N.
