The Bearcubs competed in the second-to-last regular season cross country weekend Oct. 7. Frazer traveled the Hi-Line over to the Malta Invite held at Marian Hills Golf Course.
The boys team took third place with 40 points, placing behind Havre, 12 and Harlem, 14. Jarvis Goodbird placed the Bearcubs with a time of 19:26.1 and a seventh place finish out of 47 competitors. Gabe Beston took 12th at 20:08.3. Travis Long set a personal record at 23:16.4 on his way to 33rd place. Christopher Fox finished in 34th with a time of 24:29.9. Joseph Beston ran a 29:31.7 for 45th place.
Shakira Beston represented Frazer in the girls race. She ran a 29:02.3 to take 27th place out of 35 runners.
Frazer concludes the regular season this week with back-to-back meets. The Harlem Wildcat Invite is Friday, Oct. 13, at the Harlem Golf Course. The middle school girls begin the action at 10 a.m. followed by middle school boys, high school girls and high school boys. The Culbertson Invite will be held at the Roosevelt County Fairgrounds Saturday, Oct. 14. The varsity girls kick off the event at 10 a.m. with the varsity boys, boys and girls elementary combines, seventh and eighth grade girls, and seventh and eighth grade boys to follow.
