GMS Volleyball

Glasgow’s Middle School volleyball teams had two days of matches this past week: they hosted the Sidney Eagles Sept. 21 and attended the Harlem Jamboree Sept. 23.

The Scottie seventh-graders won two of three matches. Glasgow defeated Sidney 25-17, 16-25, 18-16, 15-6. On the road they beat Harlem 25-22, 25-23, before falling 21-25, 20-25 to Malta.

Glasgow’s Red team, a mix of seventh- and eighth-graders, also won two of three. The Scotties beat Sidney’s eighth-grade team 20-25, 25-19, 15-10, 7-15, 15-9 at home. In Harlem they lost their first match to Malta 25-17, 18-25, 5-13 before rebounding to beat Poplar’s eighth-grade team 25-11, 25-19.

The Scotties’ season concludes this weekend with the District Tournament in Poplar Saturday, Sept. 30.
