A highlight of the GMS cross country girls this past week was Harper Wesen, shown starting the Frazer Invite Sept. 22. Wesen took sixth in Frazer with a time of 11:36.35. Two days later in Miles City, she set a personal record, coming in at under 11 minutes.

The Glasgow Middle School cross country teams hit two courses this week, running the Frazer Invite Sept. 21 and the Miles City Stampede Sept. 23. In Frazer the teams established eight new personal records.
Head coach Will Larsen raved about his teams," I"m happy to say that [Frazer] was just a warm-up for Saturday's Miles City Stampede. Eight young ladies ran the course and eight young ladies PR'ed, highlighted by a monster 58-second PR from sixth-grader Riley Pattison. Harper Wesen paced the girls with her first sub-11 minute time leading to a sixth place finish out of 15 teams.
"On the boys side we had 10 of 12 gentlemen with a PR, highlighted by Aaron Mickelson with a huge 39-second PR! Jack Milam led the way for the Scottie boys with a third place finish followed closely by Garrett Thompson with an eighth place finish."
The boys lost a tiebreaker in Miles City for first place to Glendive with 79 team points. The girls scored 190 points in Miles City. In Frazer the boys team placed second with 49 team points while the girls took fourth with 120 team points.
"Come cheer on the this amazing group next Saturday [Sept. 30] at our home meet at Kiwanis campground – you won't be disappointed! Go Scotties!" concluded Coach Larsen.
