Jarvis Goodbird led the Frazer boys cross country team to a second place finish at the Circle Invite with an individual first place showing. Frazer tied with Scobey as both teams scored 18 team points but a tie-breaker gave the team win to Scobey.
The Bearcubs set four personal bests and one season record at the Sept. 12 meet. Goodbird ran a personal best 18:44.99 to beat out 29 other runners for the top spot. Gabe Beston also set a personal record, running a 20:33.24, to place fourth. Cassius Smoker ran a personal best 23:12.06 to take 19th place.
Travis Long's 24:35.87 race, another personal record, put him in 24th place. Ty Fourstar finished directly behind his teammate with a time of 24:39.20, a season best. Christopher Fox took 27th with a time of 26:14.63 and Joseph Beston ran a 29:32.53 for 30th place.
Shakira Beston and Lola Romero competed in the girls race for Frazer. S. Beston set a season record with her time of 29:55.62 and finished in 20th place out of 29 runners. Romero finished in 27th place with a time of 38:16.66.
Middle School
The boys team took fifth with 53 team points and set two personal records.

The Bearcubs host their Frazer Invitational Thursday, Sept. 21. Frazer will race the Scottie Invitational at Fort Peck Saturday, Sept. 30 with the girls varsity running at 10 a.m. followed by the boys varsity at 10:45. The girls middle school race is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. with the middle school boys running at noon.
