The Glasgow Middle School cross country teams both won at the Havre Invitational Cross Country Meet Sept. 9. The Scottie boys beat out Havre and Belt by putting up 23 team points while the Glasgow girls scored 29 team points to defeat Harlem and Havre.

“Great day for the Glasgow Middle School XC team at the Havre Invitational on Saturday,” said coach Will Larsen, noting his team put up some huge personal records with solid running all around. The girls won their event with three runners in the top ten while the boys third consecutive win had eight runners in the top 10, including taking the fourth through seventh places.

The boys team established four personal records and one season record while the girls set three season records and one personal best in Havre. Jack Milam placed fourth to lead the boys while Elise Kirkland led the Glasgow girls, also with a fourth place showing.

Larsen added, “A lot of our runners are starting to get more and more comfortable on the course and I can’t be happier with the direction we are headed in. I’m excited to see continued improvement at the Lewistown Invitational this Friday.

“I’d also like to acknowledge the runners and coaches from the HS. We are a big team and you’ve all been so helpful, patient and understanding with this MS crew!” Larsen also thanked his coaches Pattison and Hunstman for volunteering their time to grow his squads.
