Frazer Cross Country

The Frazer Bearcubs hit the Poplar Cross Country Meet Sept. 2, showing strong improvement. All five members of the boys team set personal records while two of the three girls established season records. The boys team scored 111 points to take fifth place.

Jarvis Goodbird led the Bearcub boys. The sophomore ran a 19:10.11, finishing fourth out of 55 runners and scoring 4 points. Gabe Beston scored 14 points for Frazer. He finished 18th overall with a time of 21:16.01. Cassius Smoker finished the course in 23:26.03, earning 24 points and taking 38th place overall. Christopher Fox ran a 26:15.94 for 51st overall and 33 points while Joseph Beston scored 35 points with his time of 29:28.24.

The girls fielded three runners, short of qualifying for a team score but both Isabelle Even and Shakira Beston set season records. Even took 31st place out of 48 runners with a time of 30:10.32 while S. Beston ran a 30:50.06 for 34th place. Lola Romero took 47th place at 39:09.01.

Frazer will compete at the Scobey Invitational at Pioneer Town Friday, Sept. 8, and in Circle Tuesday, Sept. 12.
