The Valley CARE Coalition hosted artist Cat McIntyre at their fair booth under the grandstands this year for a community rock painting marathon. Over the week, McIntyre and the Coalition invited community members to stop by to paint a Kindness Rock to be included in the artist's next mural project. The painted rocks will be part of a community rock garden below McIntyre's helping hands mural which is intended to create awareness around the topics of mental health and suicide awareness. When completed, the inspiring and uplifting rocks will be available to community members who may find themselves dealing with a mental health condition. The main mural work begin at the end of the month. Look for more community events around it as work progresses. From left, Sarah Fauth, Joyce Fauth, Cat McIntyre and Katrena Palmer work on their contributions to the community rock garden.
