Cop Report

For the week of July 17 to 24 there were 15 motor vehicle stops, five reports of loose dogs and three reports of loose cattle.

For the week of July 24 to July 30 there were 20 motor vehicle stops, three reports of loose dogs, one report of loose livestock and one parking violation.

Monday, July 17

1111 – Caller reported that he hit a deer. There was a decent amount of damage to the vehicle but the caller stated that it was still drivable.

1229 – A deputy stated that he was headed to a house where there was a complaint about a neighbor stealing their water and using their hoses without their permission. The deputy later stated that he deemed the complaint unfounded.

1730 – Caller reported a possible DUI situation, stating that there was a truck that almost hit her head on while she was driving by the car dealership on the west end of Glasgow. She said that the driver was all over the road.

1819 – A local business reported that someone left their credit card at their location. They called the person who owned the card and they are going to pick it up.

Tuesday, July 18

1436 – Caller reported that there was a camper stuck under the underpass.

1557 – Caller reported that a fire started when a swather hit a rock in his field. He has no details on the size of the fire and the water truck is not there. The fire was put out by 1600 and they would do their own mop up.

1726 – Caller reported that they were headed westbound on U.S. 2 when a pickup side swiped them. Their vehicle was still useable but they were advised to pull over and put their flashers on.

2145 – Caller stated that there were four kids riding bicycles on U.S. 2 near Holiday. They almost hit the caller and his mother before darting down a nearby gravel road.

Wednesday, July 19

1027 – Caller stated that there was a man in their business causing a disturbance. She stated that he was being rude to the staff and tried to get behind the counter. He left slamming the door behind him before coming back and causing another disturbance.

1443 – Caller reported that she received a strange call. She stated that a male called her stating that she just won $750,000. They wanted her to send a $750 check to a Texas address. He gave her a call back number and upon investigation the calls were found to be from Conrad, Mont. The caller was advised that the call was a scam.

1451 – Caller reported a vehicle driving with nine kids in it when it only had room for six with seatbelts. Caller also stated that they thought four of the kids needed car seats of some form.

1742 – A man reported that a fire had started when he was swathing hay. The call cut off and the fire department was sent to the location. The fire was mopped up and taken care of within an hour of the call.

1759 – Caller reported that there were some kids throwing stuff around near a business. The kids would not stop when told to. She noticed some dents on a commercial trailer and was told to report in case of a claim needing filed.

2124 – Caller reported that there was some hay spilled on the highway between Nashua and Frazer.

2140 – A man walking around with two duffle bags was reported as suspicious, upon being asked he stated that he's just walking around.

Thursday, July 20

1020 – Caller reported that a male came to the school, parked by the garages, and started loading some poles into his vehicle. The caller stopped him and he is willing to talk to an officer.

1132 – Caller reported a reckless driver driving westbound into Glasgow. They were passing on double lines and almost caused an accident while passing.

1346 – Caller reported that there was a domestic dispute between a married couple, and it looked like the man was trying to assault his wife. Another call came in on the same people, supposedly the man's dog got out and his wife was yelling at him. They were arguing and he said some things to his wife that were out of line.

2220 – Caller reported a loud car driving around, said that the person in the car was firing their pistol on a nearby bridge.

Friday, July 21

0641 – Caller asked why their neighbor is out mowing their lawn at six in the morning.

1133 – Caller reported that his swather was on fire, the fire was taken care of within the hour.

1213 – Caller stated that there was a dog locked in a truck. The windows weren't open enough and the dog was barking.

1318 – Caller wanted to know if a set of keys was turned in, nothing matched their description.

1501 – Caller reported that he had video footage of a young woman stealing a pregnancy test.

1606 – A report of a man holding garbage bags and walking on the highway shoulder was called in. When asked he said he was fine walking.

1924 – Ophiem Fire Department reported that there was a fire north of Opheim. Fire was mopped up within 30 minutes of the call.

Saturday, July 22

0929 – Caller reported that he had a drive off.

1103 – Caller reported that she had received a strange email about a tax class. When she clicked the link she got a “Error: 403 Forbidden Gateway” message. She was told not to answer any calls from them.

1907 – Highway Patrol wanted help with a suspect who may be in the area after a pursuit earlier this afternoon. The suspect has six warrants out in his name and may have a gun. RCSO stated that the warrants are for: burglary, theft, attempted murder, robbery, criminal mischief, and criminal endangerment.

Sunday, July 23

1511 – Caller reported that there was a fire south of Opheim. Opheim FC had the fire under control within a couple of hours.

1802 – Caller reported that there was a mini van full of people who were drinking and trying to leave.

2018 – Caller reported that a female was banging on her door. She said that the woman was barefoot and acting insane.

2105 – Caller stated that there was a motorhome siting in the turn lane by Dairy Queen. The driver was waiting for a tow.

Monday, July 24

0838 – Caller reported that a woman was bitten by a stray cat. The patient is still home but about to go to the hospital.

1254 – A woman called stating that a truck dragging a trailer was passing vehicles and she was concerned that it would cause a wreck.

1317 – Caller reported that fishing rods went missing from his boat. They left the tackle boxes but took the fishing rods and a set of fillet knives.

1349 – Caller reported a fire. Daniels County was sent to the location.

1818 – Someone wanted to talk to Fish and Game. They were looking for an animal hospital. He found some chicks and he doesn't think they're injured.

2321 – RCSO reported a two vehicle accident, one crossed the median line. There were no injuries.

Tuesday, July 25

1351 – Caller reported a fire at the Glasgow Stockyards. The fire was taken care of 90 minutes later.

1440 – Scobey Border Control reported that there were hay bales on the highway.

1455 – Deputy requested an ambulance for a male down with heat exhaustion.

1509 – Caller stated that he got a strange call from a woman who was posing as an accountant for the Treasury Department. She stated that he had won some money, and it was placed in an account a few months ago. She said he would have to give her one percent of the money totaling $99.05. The call was deemed to be a scam.

1555 – Caller stated that there was a truck moving erratically. The driver passed her going really fast on double lines and looked to be trying to take a picture of something.

1557 – Caller was inquiring about a set of keys. There was nothing that matched her description.

1715 – Caller reported a pickup flying through an intersection at a red light and speeding.

1807 – Caller wanted to know if his car was towed or stolen. He was in town for work and the car was a rental. It was determined the vehicle was towed. He was told that it was okay to park on the yellow sections of the curb when it wasn't.

2004 – Caller reported that there was some suspicious activity at her husband's office. The back door was wide open and a pickup sped off. She does not know if anything was stolen and saw no damage.

2020 – Nashua FC reported a fire. They were working with Roosevelt County on the fire.

2358 – Caller reported that a train had hit two cows, they were going too fast to see if the cows had ear tags.
