The Hinsdale Volunteer Ambulance Service held its annual pie auction fundraiser following the July 4 barbecue in the Hinsdale Legion Park. About 30 pies and other baked goods were donated by community members along with a patriotic quilt. Auctioneer Brian Austin called the auction.
The cooler weather didn't dampen the hot bidding that ensued which provided some fun entertainment for those in attendance. Funds generated from the auction provide equipment, maintenance, and supplies for the service along with on-going training for the service's EMTs and AEMTs.
The Hinsdale Volunteer Ambulance Service is deeply humbled and appreciative of the generous support of those in the Hinsdale community and beyond.
