Inez Kegel

Inez (Brandt) Kegel, 80, of Glasgow, Mont., passed away at Valley View Nursing Home in Glasgow on Monday, June 27, 2023.

There are no services planned at this time for Inez.

Inez was born Aug. 7, 1942, in Scobey, Mont., to Herb and Luella (Belsvig) Brandt. She received her early education at Prairie Dell School and graduated from Peerless High School.

She married George Kegel on Sept. 25, 1966, in Wolf Point, Mont., and the couple made their home in Peerless, Mont.

Inez was a member of the Lutheran Church of Peerless. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and helping George on the farm. After her kids were grown she worked in Wolf Point.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Herb and Luella Brandt; sisters, Bernice Meldrum, Verna Brandt, and Myrtle Nygaard; brother Ray Brandt, and sister-in-law Cessy Brandt.

Inez is survived by her husband, George Kegel, of Glasgow; sons, Monte (Dianna) Kegel and their son Chase Kegel, all of Livingston, Mont., and Will "Duke" (Denise) Kegel, of Glasgow, and their sons, Michael Hardin, of Hayden, Idaho, and Joshua Forbes, of Memphis, Tenn.; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brothers Floyd (Bev) Brandt, of Oilmont, Mont., and Walt Brandt, of Peerless; sisters Alice (Kent) Drury, of Scobey, Mont., and Ardith (Butch) Kegel, of Great Falls, Mont.; sister-in-law Mona Brandt, of Peerless; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials can be made in Inez's name to a cancer organization of your choice.
