Glasgow Girls Grow Wrestling

The girls of Glasgow are committed to grappling and continue to prove it with their offseason dedication. Riley Clampitt, Blake Ozark, Madison Lamb and Chloe Lamb attended the Purler Wrestling Girls-Only Three Position Drill Camp in Moscow Mills, Mo., June 3-9, putting in over 40 hours of mat time in their week there.

Coach Travis Lamb drove the girls to what he called a "pretty premier - arguably the best - wrestling training in the state." Run by Nick Purler and staffed by men and women coaches and staff, Coach Lamb estimates less than one percent of kids in the U.S. have the opportunity to attend such a training. The Glasgow girls put in three two-hour sessions on each of their seven days in attendance. With a focus on the technicalities of wrestling, Coach Lamp believes his girls had fun and will be more prepared on the mats as they continue to grow the sport in Glasgow.

Coach Lamb and the grapplers expressed their gratitude to the Glasgow Wrestling Club that helped support and make this trip possible.

The girls' offseason work is far from over though as they will also be attending the Glasgow Wrestling Camp August 1-3.
