Serving Proudly As The Voice Of Valley County Since 1913

2023 Fall High School Fellowship

Every year, Forward Montana Foundation hosts a fellowship for high school aged students, and the time to apply has come! We’re looking to build a cohort of 10 students from all across the state to take part in our fellowship program, which will begin in August and run through mid-November. This fellowship will take place remotely, with the exception of an in-person retreat in Paradise Valley from Aug. 11 through the 13.

We are looking for high school aged students who are self-reliant, excited about democracy, passionate about making positive change in their community, and are looking to become a civic leader in their community. Fellows will get hands-on experience by participating in leadership training sessions, conducting voter registration in their communities, mobilizing voters, teaching others about civics, and producing a final, culminating project of their choice.

Upon successful completion of the fellowship, fellows will receive a $500 stipend. They also will walk away with a robust civic education, some nice merchandise, and skills in event planning and community organizing.

Priority applications close Friday, July 7 (applications will be accepted until mid-July)
