Glenn A. Miller

Glenn A. Miller, 90, of Glasgow, Mont., passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at his home.

Funeral services will be held on June 21, 10 a.m. at Bell Mortuary, Glasgow, Mont., with Pastor John Valle officiating with internment following at Highland Cemetery. A luncheon will follow at the VFW in Glasgow.

Glenn was born Sept. 5, 1932, in Daniels County to Martin and Bertha (Hansen) Miller. Glenn started his education in Glasgow, transferring to Columbia Falls, Mont., where he graduated high school in May of 1950. After his graduation, his family settled back in Glasgow. Glenn then traveled back to work on the Hungry Horse Dam Project. When the dam project was complete he returned to Glasgow where he opened Glenn's grocery store. Glenn then met and married Marguerite Christiana on Nov. 9, 1957.

Glenn worked and served as the President for the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce from 1971 to 1985. He was presented with an award for his dedication to the Chamber and the Community. Glenn was instrumental in the transfer of Glasgow AFB to Valley County. He was recognized for his many years of service with the Kiwanis Club, Glasgow- Wranglers and also recognized as President of Toastmaster's International. Glenn was influential in promoting the support of employment for the National Guard Reserves of Montana. During his later years, he was a businessman and a landlord of several properties. After retirement, he thoroughly enjoyed reading and woodworking as noted by the many handmade toys that were displayed at New Directions Hair Salon.

Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Bertha; and brother Kenneth.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years Marguerite; nieces Barbara (Frank) White, Anita Christiana, Kay (Kenny) Elwood and great-nephews Ryan White, sons Jason and Eric (Eliza) White and also his faithful dog, Ruffy.
