Valley County Sheriff Tom Boyer (l) swears in the newest Deputy Sheriff of Valley County Brien Gault (r) on June 5.
In 1991, then Sheriff Dan Taylor hired a young aspiring local man as a Deputy Sheriff for the Valley County Sheriff's Office. Brien Gault, of Hinsdale, served the Sheriff's Office for six and a half years before joining the Glasgow Police Department and eventually becoming the Chief of Police. Chief Gault retired in May of 2021.
Over the last two years Gault has acquired Hi-Line Security, an armed security business started by former Sheriff Dan Taylor located in Glasgow. However, retirement from law enforcement just isn't in his blood.
On June 5, Sheriff Boyer, providing the Oath of Office with Gault's family present, swore in Brien Gault as a Deputy for the Valley County Sheriffs' Office.
Gault will be a part time deputy with the Valley County Sheriff's Office serving the great community of Valley County.
