Nashua Porcupines

Xander Pugh took the Nashua boys track team to an 11th place finish at the Eastern C Divisional Meet May 18 while Tia Dees powered the girls team to a 13th place showing. The Porcupine boys posted 12 points with four personal and one season record while the girls earned 10 points.

GIRLS

Dees placed third in shot put and fourth in discus, earning her two slots at the State Meet in Laurel this weekend. She threw 33-07.00 in the shot put and 101-10 in the discus.

Madison Harris took 11th in the 100 meters with a time of 13.85 and 12th in the 200 meters at 29.80. She joined Gracyn Sibley, Marlo Schulte and Guinevere Abern in the 4x100 where the squad placed eighth with a 1:00.09 time.

Abern placed 12th in long jump with a distance of 12-11.75 followed by Sibley in 13th at 12-07.75. Schulte put up a 12-04.00 distance for 15th place.

Sibley posted a 25-10.00 in the triple jump for 11th place while Abern took 12th at 25-00.75.

BOYS

Pugh will represent Nashua at State in the long and triple jumps, taking third in both in Lambert. He put up a personal best 40-08.00 in the triple jump. Pugh took third in the long with a 20-07.00 distance. He set a season record and tied for ninth in the high jump after clearing 5-04.00.

Pugh placed 10th in the javelin, throwing 124-04. He came in right behind teammate Damon Adkins who took ninth with a personal best 124-05 throw.

Grady Nielsen and Caden Laumeyer took seventh and 11th in the discus. Nielsen threw a personal record 115-02 for his seventh place showing while Laumeyer took 11th with a 92-05 throw.

Nielsen took ninth in shot put with a 37-07.50 toss while Laumeyer threw 36-05.50 for 11th place.

Pugh also set a personal record, coming in ninth, in the 100 meters with a time of 11.82.

The MHSA Class A-C State Track & Field Meet will be Thursday through Saturday, May 25-27 at the Laurel Sports Complex, 203 E 8th Street, in Laurel. Class C girls pole vault is scheduled for Thursday afternoon will all other events taking place Friday and Saturday.
