Scottie Golf Swings Into Postseason

The Scottie boys golf team headed into the Division 1 Meet in Shelby May 9 with a perfect season record. Glasgow has won all six of their team titles this season, following a perfect season last year. The Scottie boys have posted 11 straight regular season wins.

Glasgow's most recent win came at the Poplar Invitational May 4. The team put up a score of 339 to take the top spot. Riley Smith led the team with an individual first-place finish, scoring 81.

The Scottie girls finished second in Poplar with a 460 team score. Allie Palm led the team with a 108 score and an individual seventh-place showing.

In the boys' competition, Smith was joined by Keigan Ingram, Eli Feezell, Connor Koski and Carter Hoerster in varsity action. Ingram put up an 83 for third place, followed directly by Feezell, who scored an 86. Koski shot an 89 for sixth place and Hoerster finished in eighth with a 92.

Laynee Simpson finished in seventh behind Palm in girls' action, shooting a 112. Mia Peterson and Annika Smith tied for 10th after each shot a 120.

In JV scores, Coy Nelson shot a 97, Sam Knierim put up a 98, Flint Dix scored 107 and Drew Simensen shot a 125.

The Scotties were in Shelby for the Division 1 Meet Tuesday but scores were unavailable at press time. The State B Golf Meet will also be in Shelby with competition Tuesday and Wednesday, May 16 and 17.
