Lynelle Eck passed away on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2023, at her home in Beaverton, Ore., from natural causes.
Lynelle Marie (Johnson) Eck was born in Glasgow, Mont., April 9, 1945. Parents were Gaid and Marie Johnson and she had one brother, Craig Johnson, and one sister, Anita Virts, and both are still living in Montana.
Lynn graduated from Glasgow High School in May of 1963 and then graduated with an education degree from Eastern Montana College (now MSU-Billings) in June 1968. Right after graduating from college she started her career at Absarokee, Mont., High School teaching English, French and speech. She also taught at Columbus, Mont., Middle School before retiring from the educational system.
In August of 1968, she married Raymond "Ray" Eck, in Glasgow. Son Randy Eck (Tammy) was born on Jan. 25, 1970, and daughter Rachel Magnuson (Trent) was born on Aug. 20, 1972. She had three grandchildren, Dylan, Carter and Ryder, from her son's family, and two grandchildren, Alexa and Trey, from her daughter's family.
August of 1976 the family moved from Absarokee to Aloha, Ore., and soon after she started a new career working for Intel Corp. She retired after 28 years doing work in planning, training and corporate matters. Lynn loved her many pets being around through the years, loved to travel to different places including the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Europe, plus Israel and Egypt, crafting, knitting and Mahjong. Although not an avid sports fan, she attended as many sporting events as she could in which her children and then her grandchildren participated. She shared avid care giving duties of family members in need of help.
She will be greatly missed by family, relatives, friends and co-workers.
A celebration of life was held on April 8, at the Reserve Vineyards and Golf Club in Aloha.
