Serving Proudly As The Voice Of Valley County Since 1913
Barbara Louise (Hynum) Dorr, wife of Lee Ross Dorr, Sr. (Glasgow High School '57), passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2023. She was born Feb. 22, 1942, in Pattison, Miss., to Benjamin Pierce Hynum and Thelma Eloise Fife Hynum.
Barbara had a big personality and never met a stranger. Everyone who knew her loved her (and EVERYONE knew her). No one loved her more than her Montana man who captured her heart while passing through on his way to Florida.
Barbara and Lee raised three beautiful children and celebrated 58 years of marriage. Barbara enjoyed spending precious time with her five granddaughters. They were the light of her world, she simply adored them. Her nieces and nephews knew her as the "Greatest" Aunt Barbara and always cherished visits with her.
Barbara was a pillar of strength and grace. She lived a wonder life, blessing people with her generosity and kindred spirit. She will be dearly missed.
Barbara was a member of First Baptist Church of Madison, Miss.
