The market report for the Glasgow Stockyards as of April 6, show cows and bulls steady. Utility and commercial cows brought in $85 to $100, top $107; canner and cutter cows $70 to $85; and bulls $100 to $120.
400-500 SC brought in $242-$273.50, HC $249 to $271; 500-600 SC $235 to $278, HC $212 to $236.
Math Farms Angus Ranch, of Whitewater, Mont., hosted by Bob and Cody Math families sold 22 yearling Angus bulls, average $5,284. The top bull sold at $7,250. Fifty-one two year old bulls sold at an average of $4,603 with the top bull selling for $6,750. Forty yearling Angus replacement heifers sold for an average of $1,500. The volume buyer was Keller Angus of Worden, Mont., with eight bulls.
The top selling two-year-olds were:
Lot 26 to 4 D Far and Ranch, of Saco, for $6,750. Math Bravo 5901, a full flush brother to Lots 27 and 28, sired by Coleman Bravo and CM Forever Lady;
Lot 41 to Barnard Ranch, of Hinsdale, for $6,500. Sired by BDAR Fat Cat and out of a Pathfinder dam;
Lot 7- to Kent Wasson, of Whitewater, for $6,250. Sired by AAR Justified and out of a Forever Lady dam.
The top selling yearlings were:
Lot 5, sired by GDAR Load Up, a herd bull prospect sold for $7,250 to Steve Boehmiehner, from Rosholt, S.D.
Lot 9 to Hellie’s Inc., of Whitewater, for $6,750. A heifer bull sired by Sterling Pacific and out of a Forever Lady dam.
Lot 1 to Keller Angus, of Worden, for $6,500. Heifer bull sired by Sterling Pacific.
Forty replacement heifers went to Matt Simonson, of Loring, for $1,500.
Thursday, April 20, is the Big Dry Angus Bull Production Auction featuring 80 Yearling Angus bulls and 20 registered Angus replacement heifers. Big Dry Angus is donating a registered Angus heifer to aid in the advocacy efforts of the Montana Stockgrowers Association. This will be a roll over auction.
There will also be a Feeder Auction and Replacement Heifer Auction as well as the All Class Cattle Auction.
Thursday, April 27, is the North Country Angus Bull Production Auction and All-Class Cattle Auction.
