Community And Stakeholders Will Have The Opportunity To Ask Questions
The Scottie Field Recharged committee invites the community to attend a community meeting on Thursday, April 13, 7 p.m., at the Glasgow High School Auditorium. All community members are encouraged to join the Scottie Field Recharged Committee, Glasgow Public Schools Administration, GSD Board of Trustees, and coaching staff for this important informational meeting on this project.
Jared Petrino with FieldTurf – Calhoun Manufacturing and U.S. Installation out of Wyoming will also be present to discuss the project. Petrino is the nephew of longtime Scottie head football coach Pat Petrino (1986 to 1995) and his company will serve as the general contractor for the project. The Helena native is the current regional manager for FieldTurf (Football Surface) and Renner Sports (All-Weather Track Surfaces). He is based out of Casper, Wyo., and has direct ties to the community of Glasgow and throughout Montana. The company has served as the general contractor for numerous athletic complex projects throughout Montana, including recently finished projects with Browning High School and Lockwood High School in Billings. He was also instrumental in the project at Dawson County High School in Glendive.
Also in attendance will be Glasgow native Kris Koessl with A&E Design out of Billings. Koessl, a 1995 graduate of Glasgow High School, is the current construction manager/senior associate with A&E Design and is serving as the lead for design on the Scottie Field Recharged Project. He is a 2000 graduate of Montana State University with a degree in business.
A&E traditionally helps to plan, design, and execute projects as well serve in the area of community relations for school facility bonds and the funding/financing of a project. Koessl has served in a similar role for recently completed athletic facility projects at Winifred High School, Lone Peak (Big Sky) High School, and Montana State University.
Petrino will fly into Glasgow while Koessl will drive up to Glasgow on Thursday, April 13, to meet with community members and discuss the project with all stakeholders.
