The North Country Pep Band performed numerous times at State, including a volunteer performance during the Lustre Christian Lions' game Friday against the Lone Peak Longhorns. Rather than practice at an off-site location, Whitewater Superintendent Darin Cummings suggested the band play for Lustre, whose band did not attend the tournament. The show of solidarity among the District 3C teams earned a standing ovation from the Lustre crowd.
