The Nashua boys closed out their regular season with a 6-4 conference record and an 11-6 overall record after dropping both games this past weekend against Scobey Spartans and Richey-Lambert, both on home court.

The Scobey game on Friday saw a close first half with the Porcupines scoring 11 points in the first quarter and seven points in the second quarter, ending the half with 18 points, compared to the Spartans’ 22 points. The first quarter saw Xander Pugh and Bubba Pugh each hitting a three point, while Grady Nielsen and Caden Laumeyer got the two points each. The third quarter saw X. Pugh hit another three, while Nielsen had a two, along with two of his three free-throw attempts. The second half saw the Spartans come back with 16 points in the third quarter and 15 points in the fourth quarter compared to the Porcupines seven and 10. The second game of the weekend against Richey/Lambert once again saw the Porcupines leading in the first half with 32 points against Richey-Lambert’s 32. The first half saw three three-pointers from Nielsen in the first quarter followed by one of his two free throws made. B. Pugh, X. Pugh, and Jackson Abein also contributed to the lead with a three-pointer each. Richey-Lambert certainly stepped it up in the third quarter, scoring 15 compared to the Porcupines six, and then 13 in the fourth compared to the Porcupines 10.

Nielsen and Laumeyer each at the chance at the charity stripe in the game, with Nielsen making one of his two while Laumeyer made two of his four.

B. Pugh and Abein had two fouls each, while Nielsen had four personal fauls. Laumeyer only had one foul against him throughout the game.
