(4) Precision .22 Match: Kyle Gibson started these matches with the club in 2019 and has had very good turnout. Here is a little information on what the Precision .22 Match is:
The Matches are based off the National Rifle 22 League (NRL 22), who supply the month course of fire. If shooters of the Precision 22 matches would like to join the NRL22, they can but it is not required to shoot the matches. The Precision 22 matches are for .22 LR rifles only. Match fee is $10.00 for ages 17 and older. Youth 16 and under are free with a participating adult. Shooters who place in the top three for each class will be given medals.
Most matches will consist of 5 stages with targets placed anywhere from 25-200 yards. Target size ranges from ¼ inch to 6 inches. Shooters will engage multiple targets from multiple positions at different ranges during a stage. Most matches will require 50-70 rounds to complete the match. Shooters who place in the top 3 of any match during the year will be invited to the invitational match what will be held in May of every year.
Some of Kyle’s matches are held at other locations.
Paper copies of the shoot schedule will be available at the firearm counter at D&G Sports. For more info on the Precision 22 Matches/Steel Hunter Matches or joining the NRL22, contact Kyle Gibson at 208-351-9235 or [email protected]. Thank you Kyle for doing these matches.
