VC Elected Officials Sworn In For New Terms

County officials who were elected during the Nov. 8, 2022, General Election were sworn in for new terms of office on Dec. 30, in the courtroom of the Valley County Courthouse. Valley County Clerk of Court Shelley Bryan officiated the ceremony for all elected officials while family, friends and colleagues looked on.

The elected officials who were sworn in included:

Valley County Commissioner District #2 John Fahlgren who will be serving a six-year term (2023 through 2028)

Valley County Attorney Dylan Jensen who will be serving a four-year term (2023 through 2026)

Valley County Sheriff / Coroner Tom Boyer who will be serving a four-year term (2023 through 2026)

Valley County Clerk and Recorder / Superintendent of Schools Marie Pippin who will be serving a four year term (2023 through 2026)

Valley County Treasurer Brenda Anderson who will be serving a four year term (2023 through 2026)

Valley County Justice of the Peace Christy Hillman who will be serving a four year term (2023 through 2026)

As of Jan. 1, Valley County Commissioner Mary Armstrong is the chairman of the Commissioners. Her six-year term started in 2019 and goes through 2024. The third Valley County Commissioner Paul Tweten's six-year term started in 2021 and goes through 2026.
