Serving Proudly As The Voice Of Valley County Since 1913

Local Comes Back To Manage Reynolds

Over the past few months, customers have seen a familiar face managing Reynolds Market in Glasgow, as Deb Tade returned to the store at the beginning of October after taking a few year retirement hiatus to enjoy time with children and grandchildren. "I decided to come back because retirement is not all that it's cracked up to be!," laughed Tade.

Tade was born and raised in Glasgow, starting at Reynolds in 2002 as a floor stocker and then worked her way up to assistant manager, a role she took on between 2011 and 2012. In 2017, she was promoted to manager and stayed in that role until June 2019 when she decided to give retirement a try and travel the country. "I spent time with my three boys and grandkids, traveling to Florida, Oklahoma and Montana," she explained. Since coming back Tade has had to adjust to changes such as the recent remodel of the Glasgow store, staff changes, and the effects of the COVD-19 pandemic such as supply shortages, however Tade admits she enjoys being back in this role and being home, while serving the community.

The community certainly enjoys having her back, not only has a manager at Reynolds Market, but as a community member as well. There was certainly excitement around the city when word was released she would be the new store leader. Tade shares the excitement stating "I hope to see the store continuing to excel and see sales continuing to increase. I like offering the public different items, and even try to get items that we don't have in stock. Customer satisfaction is certainly the goal," said Tade.

Tade brings a lot of managerial experience to the store, not only with her prior Reynolds Market roles but also her experience in the retail clothing management sector prior to moving back to Glasgow the first time in 2002. She had traveled the country, working in Oklahoma, New Mexico, Colorado and Billings, managing for C.R. Anthony Co., from 1985 to 2002, which was a family-owned and operated upscale department store. When Stage Stores Incorporated acquired C.R. Anthony's in 1997, Tade stayed on until she and her family made the move back to Glasgow.

When Tade isn't managing the store and finding ways to continue to grow customer satisfaction, she enjoys walking in the outdoors, taking in the sights and sounds of nature. However, she does admit now that it's winter and there is snow on the ground, she isn't sure what she will be doing in her free time.

She certainly enjoys being back again, and hopes the community continues to support her as well as the store. She states the way the community can help do that is by just shopping and choosing Reynolds Market as their grocery destination. "Help support Friends of Reynolds, help support our store, come check out all of the different products we offer and the remodel if you haven't yet already!" expressed Tade.

Reynolds Market is open every day of the week 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., and is located at 54218 US Highway 2, Glasgow. They can be contacted at 406-228-2633. Orders can also be picked up curbside or delivered by shopping online at https://shop.rosieapp.com/reynolds_market_glasgow.
