HS Ice Dawgs Lose Two to Generals

The High School Ice Dawgs dropped both games in Miles City this past weekend, losing 10-3 Saturday and 6-1 Sunday to the Generals.

Glasgow took the lead first Saturday on a goal by Tatum Hansen, assist Michael Hoyer, but the Generals tied the game. Bode Barnett netted a short-handed goal to put Glasgow up 2-1 after one period.

Miles City tied the game early in the second but Hansen put the Dawgs ahead midway through the period. The Generals scored twice more before intermission. They sealed the game in the third period with six more goals while shutting Glasgow out.

The Dawgs had eight penalty minutes on four infractions. Dillon Hughes served two in the first and two in the second, both times on a roughing call. Tristan Powell was called for tripping in the second and Lex Fairclough sat for roughing in the third.

Aiden Wilkowski saw 27 shots on goal in his time between the pipes, giving up nine goals. Jacob Potter, in relief, allowed one goal on six shots. Glasgow put 27 pucks on net at the other end of the ice.

Sunday the generals took a 4-0 lead after one and led 6-0 at intermission.

Glasgow’s lone goal came in the third period from Wilkowski from the length of the ice.

The Dawgs served 30 minutes on seven penalties. Zevin Kummerfeldt served two for roughing. Trevor Dulaney earned an unsportsmanlike conduct call and 10 minutes. Charlie Cornwell got a 2-and-10 for checking from behind. Kummerfeldt served another two for interference and Peyton Hubbard also sat for interference. Hoyer was called for roughing.

Wilkowski saw 35 attempts on his net, turning away 29. Glasgow put up 36 shots at the other end of the ice.

Glasgow travels to Missoula this weekend. The Dawgs take on the Bruins Saturday, Dec. 17, at 6 p.m. and on Sunday, Dec. 18, at 8:15 a.m.
