Two 2022 northeast Montana high school graduates reunite in Philadelphia at the 123rd meeting of the United States Military and Naval Academy's classic football rivalry game Dec. 10.
Dalton Sand, graduate of Glasgow High and Naval Academy Midshipman, and Cole Taylor, graduate of Opheim High and West Point Cadet, crossed service boundaries at the end of what has been dubbed "America's Game" to grab a photo together at Lincoln Financial Field, home of the Philadelphia Eagles.
Sand and Taylor both received academy appointments last winter and began their military careers last summer. The service academies provide an excellent opportunity for outstanding young men and women to receive a top quality education and prepares them for commissioning as officers in the military service.
This year it was the Army Black Knights sinking the Navy Midshipmen in a double overtime win 20-17. The Navy leads Army with a record of 62-54-7.
