Lustre Christian Volleyball

The Lions ended their volleyball season at the District 1C tournament in Plentywood, Oct. 27-29. The 12th seed Lustre Christian squad did not go down without a fight, notching one win in their three matches.

They faced the fifth-seeded Fairview Warriors in the opening round, losing in three, 10-25, 12-25, 11-25. Lustre Christian bounced back in round two, winning their match against the 13th seed, Brockton Warriors, in three sets, 25-17, 25-8, 26-24.

In their third and final round, the Lions took Culbertson to four sets but fell in the match, 18-25, 15-25, 25-18, 18-25.

Head coach Mary Zerbe said, “... much praise for the Lustre Lady Lions’ positive improvement and strong performance at [the] District 1-C tournament.”
