The market report for the Glasgow Stockyards as of Sept. 22, show 264 cattle sold with cows lower on light test of 75 head. Utility and commercial cows brought in $73 to $84.50; canner and cutter cows $63 to $73. Bulls were lower on 80 head test bringing in $92 to $106.50. Very light test on 100 yearling heifers with 60 open heifers 797 sold at $182.25.
Oct. 6 is the All Class Cattle Auction. The following week, on Thursday, Oct. 13, is the Feeder Special and All Class Cattle Auction.
Thursday, Oct. 20 is the Dunbar Bros. 15th annual Bred Heifer Auction and Galpin Angus Herd Dispersion, spring calves as well as the All Class Cattle Auction.
Dunbar Ranch will sell 126 Angus bred heifers, 50 A.I. to Patriarch and 76 bull bred to calve March 20 for 45 days.
Galpin Angus will sell 37 cows, two to 10 years old; one yearling bull, 15 bred heifers, spring calves; 24 heifers and 12 bulls. These are all registered Angus cows with 35 years of A.I. and selective breeding.
Also available will be 34 black bred heifers, dispersion 35 five-year-old Red Angus bred cows, several tentative consignments of bred heifers and bred cows as well as 250 Red Angus Mx. calves.
