Nashua's lone cross country runner, David Ponder, competed at the Scottie Invitational Sept. 17 in Fort Peck.
The eighth-grader took 62nd place with a time of 33:10.00. Ponder improved his time from the Scobey Invitational – 38:44.27 – by nearly five-and-a-half minutes.
The Porcupine is slated to compete at the Frazer Invitational Thursday, Sept. 22, with the boys varsity race beginning at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, Nashua will be in Culbertson.
