Possible Attempted Child Abduction In Frazer

The Valley County Sheriff’s Office is asking the community to be on the lookout for a vehicle and subject who reportedly tried to take a child while he played outside of his residence in Frazer, Mont., this past weekend.

The vehicle is reported to be an older four-door short box pickup (Dodge or Ford) with possible Oregon plates – 339GLB. The vehicle was reported to be gold but officers were able to see a video where it appeared to be silver/gold. The vehicle driver is described as an older white male, bald head, sunglasses and white beard. He also had a white dog with him. There appeared to be a metal dog kennel in the bed of the pickup. At the time of the report, Valley County Deputies responded to the area and Tribal Law Enforcement was notified for an attempt to locate response east of Frazer around Wolf Point and Poplar.

As of press time there are no further updates and the vehicle has not been located by law enforcement efforts.

If you see this vehicle please call law enforcement with the location, description, and any further descriptors (i.e. plate number). DO NOT approach the vehicle or the occupant.

The Valley County Sheriff’s Office encourages parents and grandparents to have conversations with the children in your families. Discuss safety and ‘Stranger Danger’ issues with them. Provide boundaries for your children and consider tracking devices if they are old enough to have phones.
