Serving Proudly As The Voice Of Valley County Since 1913
School is scheduled to begin on Monday, Aug. 22, 8 a.m. Please contact the school as soon as possible if you have new students to register. We look forward to seeing you soon!
The school day will be from 8 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Students in grades seven to 12 will have an eight period daily schedule. Unless your children ride the school bus, students are not to arrive to school before 7:45 a.m.
Breakfast and hot lunch meals are available at Opheim School. One milk is included with meals, and any extras are 50 cents a piece. The prices for meals are: Breakfast PreK to 12 $2 per meal; adult breakfast $2.50 per meal; Lunch PreK to 12 $2.50 per meal and adult lunch $3.50 per meal. Please include a note with any payment sent to the school as to how many and what type of meal is being paid for.
Please be aware of the 15 MPH posted speed limits around the school. This speed limit is enforced year round.
The bus loading and unloading zone is located in front of the high school doors. Please do not park in that area from 7:45 a.m. to 4 p.m.
To help the school staff get in touch with parents, we encourage you to provide us with your cell phone number. Remember to update us with phone number changes. Also, email is a great tool for the school to get information out. The office sends out a weekly bulletin to the community. If you would like to be on the list, please provide your email to the school office.
Please contact the school office when your child is absent or going to be absent from school. It is a state law that the school office checks with parents if a student is not in school. A quick phone call or email from you is very helpful.
