Rose Zimmer Taylor

Rose Zimmer Taylor, age 96, a devout Catholic at St Vincents church in Basalt, Calif., passed away surrounded by family May 31, 2022.

Celebration of Life is pending and will be at a later time.

Rose moved to the Carbondale-Basalt, Colo., area several years ago to be with her daughter, Melissa Dolan and family.

Rose was born the sixth child of John and Gertrude Neihoff Zimmer April 2, 1926. She attended schools (country) in the Glentana area through eighth grade! She attended Opheim High School two years and graduated from Peerless High School. After graduation she worked various job in various states and settling in Denver. She met and married Lewis Taylor. They had four children. Mark, Mitchell, Marvin and Melissa.

Rose was preceded in death by husband Lewis, and son, Marvin; also parents, three sisters, Frances (Glen) Daley, Anna Mae (Ray) Stein and Helen (Herb) Stein; as well as eight brothers, James, Joseph (Aundre), Thomas (Dolores), Charles (Pat and Marlene), Leo (Dorothy), John, Mark (Sandy) and Vincent (Peggy) Zimmer.

Survivors include Mark, of Denver, Colo., Mitchell (Sarah), of Lexington, Ky., and Melissa (Chris) Taylor Dolan, of Carbondale; grandchildren Lisa Goss, Emilee Taylor, Shelby (Richo) Taylor Jiminez, Zane Taylor, Larkin Dolan and Ruby Rose Dolan; four great-grandchildren, one sister, Lucille Zimmer Awtrey, of Glasgow, Mont., and many loving and caring nieces and nephews throughout America, plus numerous great nieces and nephews.
