Serving Proudly As The Voice Of Valley County Since 1913
The Knierim Scholarship Fund is alerting college students who are completing a year of school past high school to apply for their scholarships this summer. The scholarships are open to high school graduates from Valley, Sheridan, Daniels and Roosevelt counties.
They were established to honor the lives of Dr. and Mrs. Frederick and Bernice Knierim who established a family and medical practice in Glasgow during the construction of Fort Peck Dam. Dr. Knierim was one of the first physicians to take care of the men who built the Dam. His wife was a first grade teacher, and had 76 first graders one year. They were active in many parts of community life, and Dr. Knierim’s practice extended to the four counties of eastern Montana.
Please contact Pat Knierim, Box 29, Glasgow, for an application. Applications are due July 15.
