The Lustre Christian Lions will send one athlete to the Class C State Track meet in Great Falls Thursday through Saturday, May 26-28.
Cayden Klatt will represent the team in the boys' 3200 meters after taking fifth place at the Eastern C Divisional in Glasgow last Wednesday, He ran the race in 12:11.42. He also ran the 800 meters where he finished in eighth place with a time of 2:23.86. Klatt took 12th in discus with a 95-08 throw.
Mason Hilkemann also competed in boys' discus, throwing a personal best 82-07 for 14th place. He finished 11th in javelin with a 99-00 throw.
Sean Uy took 14th in the javelin with an 87-01 throw. He also ran the 200 meters, taking 12th place with a time of 27.57.
Byron Ewing took 10th in the 200 meters with his 27.37 time. He threw 31-03.25 in shot put for a 13th place finish.
Rebekah Jossart represented the Lion girls in the 100 meters and 1600 meters. She ran the 100 meters in 15.91 for 15th place. Jossart set a personal record in the 1600 meters – 6:37.28 – and earned eighth place.
The Class C State Track meet will be held at Memorial Stadium in Great Falls Thursday through Saturday, May 26-28.
