Frazer Bearcubs Track

The Bearcubs' track and field season came to a close at the Eastern C Divisional meet this past week after a late-season surge in performance. Frazer took eight athletes to the penultimate meet of the year.

Ryker Ackermann just missed the podium in the boys' shot put, finishing in seventh place. He threw a personal best 41-02.75 at the meet in Glasgow last Wednesday. Joseph Beston threw 30-11.25 for 14th place and Blue Fettig finished in 15th with a 29-07.75 throw.

Ackerman also threw personal bests in the discus and javelin. He finished in ninth place in discus with a 108-08 throw and eighth in javelin with a throw of 121-04. Ty Fourstar took 12th in javelin with his 91-05 throw.

Jonathan Jackson finished 11th in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 22.50. He also ran the second leg of the boys' 4x100 relay, teaming up with Malaki Smoker, Fourstar and Fettig. The foursome ran the race in 54.37, good for ninth place.

Evelyn YellowHammer ran the girls' 200 meters in 37.49 for 14th place.

Angel Nelligan competed in the girls' 100 meters, shot put and discus. She placed 14th in the 100 meters with a time of 15.67. She placed 12th in shot put with a throw of 26-06.00 and threw 60-08 in discus for 15th place.
