Frazer Track

The Frazer Bearcubs track team registered a number of personal bests at their meets in Wolf Point and Glasgow this past weekend. Frazer attended the Gene Nelson Memorial Friday and Hinsdale's Jean Dreikosen Memorial in Glasgow on Saturday.

Ty Fourstar and Christopher Fox competed for the boys in Wolf Point while Angel Nelligan and Evelyn YellowHammer represented the girls.

Fourstar placed 16th in the 100 meters with his time of 13.75 and Fox took 25th at 15.61. Fox placed 19th in the 200 meters with a time of 33.47.

Fourstar threw a personal best 25-04.50 in shot put for 25th place while Fox took 29th with a 22-09.00 throw.

Fox set a personal record in the discus with a 74-05 throw, good for 24th place. Fourstar also hit a personal best – 66-04 – and took 34th place.

Fourstar took 15th in javelin with an 89-00 throw while Fox hit another personal best in the event, throwing 87-11 for 17th place.

Fourstar's 15-00.75 jump in the long jump was another personal record and earned him 19th place.

In the girls' competition, Nelligan placed 14th in the 100 meters with a time of 16.04 while YellowHammer set a personal best at 16.42 for 15th place. YellowHammer took 13th in the 200 meters with a time of 35.25 and Nelligan finished 14th at 37.39.

Nelligan placed 14th in shot put with a 24-10.50 throw and YellowHammer placed 22nd at 21-04.50. Nelligan set a personal record in the discus – and finished just outside the podium in seventh – with a throw of 75-11. YellowHammer threw 35-04 for 26th place. She took 23rd in javelin with a throw of 62-10.

In Glasgow on Saturday for the Jean Dreikosen Memorial, YellowHammer put the Frazer girls on the scoreboard with 3 points – before the meet was called early due to weather – from her fourth place tie in the javelin. She threw 57-00. YellowHammer set a personal record and finished in 22nd in discus with a 42-08 throw. Nelligan took 10th, throwing 72-11.

Fox and Fourstar took 20th and 21st in boys' shot put, respectively. Fox threw 25-00.00 and Fourstar hit 23-11.00.

Fourstar took 12th in javelin with a 93-10 throw while Fox finished in 19th place, throwing 85-04.

Fourstar also took 15th in the long jump with a 14-04.25 leap.

The Frazer Bearcubs begin their postseason Saturday, May 14, at the District 2B/3C Track Meet in Glasgow with events beginning at 9 a.m.
