Law Enforcement Report

There were 19 motor vehicle stops, eight reports of loose livestock, five reports of a loose/missing/barking dog and two reports requesting a VIN inspection.

Monday, April 25

1640 – A reporting party called wanting to know who to contact as he is locked behind the gate at the landfill. He was cleaning out his truck and when he went to leave, the gate was secured. The landfill manager was contacted and will get someone to go and unlock the gate.

2010 – Caller reported his wife hit a deer at the Milk River Bridge on Highway 24 South. She is not injured but there’s a lot of damage to the vehicle and it’s believed the deer ran off. It was later determined the wife was able to make it home with the vehicle.

2326 – Reporting party said he works for BNSF and they will not be taking out the Tampico Crossing tonight. There is too much train traffic to allow it. He stated they are shooting for the following night but will let dispatch know closer to the time they want to take it out.

Tuesday, April 26

2057 – BNSF track inspector called to let dispatch know they will be taking out the Tampico crossing around 2230 hours tonight and should be back in around 0600. He will let them know when it’s back on.

Wednesday, April 27

0521 – BNSF track inspector called to report the Tampico Crossing is in and he will let dispatch know if there are any other public crossings coming up for replacement in the future.

0752 – Reporting party reported a white pickup going very fast and provided a plate number. Called back at 0754 advising the vehicle turned onto Airport Road from MT Highway 24N. The caller was going approximately 74 miles per hour and the vehicle blew right past him. He is willing to sign a complaint.

1252 – Female called in stating there is a commercial vehicle pulling an air seeder behind his truck and only has one flagger behind him. She stated it happened about 10 minutes ago and the truck had North Dakota plates on it. At 1327, officer advised he went out to MM 570 and was unable to locate the vehicle.

1836 – Female reported two males were fighting with her and her husband. She said one male pushed her really hard and she stated she had a knife. She stated the males left about three minutes ago in an SUV and took the Bottom Road leaving Frazer. She believes they are going to Wolf Point. She also stated there is a female in the vehicle with them and the occupants of the vehicle are drunk. Roosevelt 911 was notified. At 1839 officer advised vehicle was located and there are three to four children in the vehicle, one of which is an infant. There is also damage to the front bumper. Roosevelt 911 was updated with this information.

1924 – A female requested to watch for a Taurus she stated was taken from Helena St in Wolf Point about a half hour ago. The possible suspect was named as well as the vehicle’s last location. If located, it was requested to stop, detain and notify Roosevelt 911.

2148 – Caller reported there was a fire at the Trailer Court on the way to the golf course. He believes he can see some flames. There is a permit issued for burning brush and a old trailer house on Skylark Road. The permit holder was contacted and they advised they are still burning. He stated he just checked and everything is okay. They threw some branches and limbs on it and it’s smoldering. He also stated he is keeping an eye on it and everything is okay.

2359 – Reporting party stated she came home and had two extra horses. She wants the owner found and have the horses removed before they stir up her three horses. A description of the horses were provided.

Thursday, April 28

1528 – Trespassing card was started at officer request.

1648 – BSNF track inspector called to state they’ll be taking out the Tampico Crossing sometime after 10 p.m. tonight and will be back up around 6 a.m.

1932 – Trespassing card was started at officer request.

2315 – Reporting party stated her brother is drunk and calling and harassing her and her father. He is threatening her life and her step-father’s. She would like an officer to call her. At 2336 it was reported an officer spoke to the reporting party.

2319 – A reporting party reported someone is smoking marijuana on her floor at the time and smelling up the place. The officer was notified and knocked on the door of the suspected unit with no answer. There is a smoke free building notice on the bulletin board. Officer will pass this on in the morning and notify the manager.

Friday, April 29

0305 – Reporting party stated they have a customer there who is very intoxicated. They are throwing things around and he pushed the caller several times.

0641 – MHP reported a car vs. guard rail accident. MHP is enroute and the information was passed along to a deputy.

0815 – Reporting party called stating his brother had his dog stolen last night around 1930-2000 hours. The dog was in the yard attached to a stake with 30 feet lead that has a hook on it to attach to the stake. A description of the dog was provided. They had gone out last night and looked all over for the dog. The dog was found by the owner this morning and seems fine. They do not know who took the dog but they had also put another collar on the dog. The dog still had his own collar on it as well but the lead was gone.

1055 – Reporting party advised they got a call from a person named out of Minnesota who stated she was a private investigator looking for a male with the same last name. The reporting party told her the subject is not related to her or her husband. The caller then told the reporting party they should check their credit score but didn’t say why or anything else. The reporting party stated they didn’t give out any personal information. She was advised to contact her bank and let them know about this just in case.

1358 – Reporting party called to report a Penski rental van with abstract driving behavior going on, nearly ran him off the road. A description of the direction of travel and vehicle was provided. The party advised he did not want to write a complaint and wanted to remain anonymous. At 1448, an officer advised he has been behind the vehicle for about 20 miles and did not see driving behavior that were out of the ordinary.

1434 – Officer reported an individual stopped by VCSO reporting several mailboxes were damaged. The reporting party did not know how and there were no suspects. A picture of the mailboxes were provided.

1514 - Reporting party called to report a two vehicle accident. Both vehicles are still there and there are no injuries. The reporting party was not one of the drivers but he did speak with the drivers and everyone is okay. An officer was notified.

2348 – A white Jeep was parked in the Evangelical Church parking lot. There was no one in the vehicle but there were open bottles of Mikes Hard Lemonade. The church did not want them hanging out in the parking lot after dark.

Saturday, April 30

0647 – Reporting party called and stated her spouse is driving, was intoxicated and belligerent. She has locked the doors and doesn’t want her wife back at the house. She doesn’t want to deal with her in her current condition. At 0822 it was reported the vehicle was back at the residence.

0819 – Reporting party advised there is an older camper and doesn’t know who it belongs to and would like someone to check it out. It’s parked on one of his properties and it isn’t supposed to be there. The owner was contacted who advised they will leave the vehicle there until Monday. Since it is private property, the reporting party can have it towed at his own expense.

1242 – Suspicious activity was reported. Officer reported people had the wrong address to begin with and they found the right house.

1441 – A male brought a wallet with a pocket clip to dispatch. There are several cards but no money. The phone number to the owner was not located in the phone book.

1904 – Residential fire alarm was reported. At 1905 the alarm was canceled as the home owners were contacted and everything is well.

2027 – RCSO reported they took a call that there is a male with a dog sitting in the ditch and throwing rocks in the road. It was determined the person was not throwing rocks at cars, more like pulling grass and weeds and throwing them up. At 2048 officer reported the person was sitting under her umbrella and walking back to Frazer.

2250 – A male reported he is staying at a local hotel and they were in the bar there and both of the bartenders were intoxicated and treating people very rudely. It was advised for the male to contact the front desk. An officer was also notified who spoke with the bartender.
