Both the Nashua girls and boys track teams earned points at the Whitewater Invitational April 21. The Porcupines girls team took sixth place with 14 points while the boys earned eight points for seventh place.
Tia Dees earned points for the girls team with a third place in the shot put and second in the discus. She threw 29-09.00 in shot put and 88-08 in discus to earn Nashua points. She took 14th in the javelin with a throw of 75-05.
Deja Morgan took 18th in javelin with a throw of 71-00 while Leah Morgan took 29th with a personal record throw of 39-09.
D. Morgan took 17th in the 100 meters with a run time of 16.39 while L. Morgan set a personal record of 18.04 and finished in 20th place. D. Morgan set a personal record in the long jump with a leap of 12-05.50 and took ninth place.
Xander Pugh scored for the Nashua boys team with a third place in the long jump and a fifth place finish in the triple jump. He set a personal record in long jump at 18-06.25. In the triple jump, he notched a 32-03.50 distance.
EvRhett Pugh set a personal record in the long jump at 12-10.00 and took 32nd place. He finished 13th in the triple jump with a leap of 26-07.50.
The Porcupines will be in Glasgow for the Whitewater/Saco Invitational Saturday, April 30, with events beginning at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 3, the annual Top Ten meet will be in Glasgow scheduled to start at 3 p.m.
