Glasgow's golf squad hit the links this past Friday, taking part in the Shelby Invitational. For their first time on the not-yet greens, the Scotties turned in an impressive performance.
Junior Riley Smith took first place overall in the boys' competition after shooting a 77 on the par 72 Marias Valley course. He helped power the Scotties to a first place team ranking with 345 points. Glasgow beat out 14 other schools for the title. Cutbank took second with 366 points and Malta claimed third place with 390 points.
Eli Feezell claimed sixth place overall with a score of 86 and Rance Rhoads placed directly behind him after shooting a 90. Keigan Ingram placed 11th with his score of 92. Connor Koski's 109 score earned him 26th place.
The Scottie girls did not field a full team but Allie Palm cracked the top ten with her score of 115. She took ninth place. Elle Stone finished in 18th with a score of 153.
The Scotties will make a short trip Thursday, April 21, for the Wolf Point Invitational before hosting the Glasgow Invitational at Sunnyside Friday, April 29. They will be in Malta the following day, April 30, for the Malta Invitational.
