Serving Proudly As The Voice Of Valley County Since 1913
Medjugorje Bound 2022
Emmah Mix and Kacie Hankins, with their families, are hosting a breakfast fundraiser to help them in their efforts to make a spiritual pilgrimage in September of 2022 to the village of Medjugorje, located in southern Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Why you may ask, well since June of 1981 Our Lady has been reported to visit the village bringing with Her messages of peace, love, and a call to prayer. Kacie and Emmah have felt this calling in their hearts and are planning to travel with the Mir-Peace Pilgrimage group based out of Clarks Summit, Pa.
The teens and their mothers, Tasha Mix and Erin Hankins, will travel in late September and spend six days in the village of Medjugorje. While in the village the group will have the opportunity to hike Apparition Hill, meet one of the visionaries, attend talks on spiritual growth, among other spiritual opportunities. They will stay in the homes of villagers who have opened their homes since the first days of days of the apparitions to traveling pilgrims.
The breakfast will be held at St Raphael’s Parish Center Sunday March 27, from 9:30 a.m. to noon. For just $10 a plate you can get homemade sourdough biscuits, sausage gravy, pancakes, a selection of homemade syrups and fruit toppings and more, ages five and under eat free.
Please join the girls for a yummy breakfast for a great cause!
