PeeWees Split Final Home Weekend Games Against Billings Bulls

The PeeWee Ice Dawgs dropped their first game against the Billings Bulls, 4-3, on Saturday. But they rebounded to take their second game by a score of 3-2.

Glasgow scored more goals than Billings in game one, but unfortunately for the home team one of those was an own-goal which tipped the game in Billings' favor.

The Bulls found the back of the net first, scoring at 11:56. Glasgow answered though and took the lead before time ended in the first-time period.

Carter Holte, assist Ian Anderson, tied the game at 8:41. Jack Miller put Glasgow ahead at 7:01.

Billings netted three goals in the second period to carry a 4-2 lead into intermission.

Holte brought the Dawgs within one at 5:52 in the third with help from Tay Morehouse and Orion Henry. But the 4-3 score held until the final buzzer.

Ira Moore faed 26 total attempts on his net while Glasgow put 30 shots on the Billings netminder.

Glasgow was called for six infractions while Billings had four penalties.

Hudson Honey served a tripping call in the second. Morehouse served time for interference and tripping, both in the second. Holte was also called for two in the second, sitting for cross checking and body contact. Henry served a third period penalty for slashing.

Back on the ice that afternoon Glasgow put one puck in net in each period. They allowed Billings a goal in the first and second, but shut them out in the final period.

Ian Anderson scored all three of the Dawgs' goals, earning himself a hat trick. He scored a short-handed goal at 9:23 in the first to take the lead. Billings tied the game at 5:48.

Anderson's second-period goal came at 4:17 and Billings again tied, just over two minutes later.

The game-winning goal came at 8:52 in the third.

Moore faced 21 shots in the crease while his teammates threw 29 biscuits at the Bulls' goalie.

Billings had five penalties while Glasgow served time on seven infractions.

In the first period, Breckin Partridge, body checking; Morehouse, cross checking, and Anderson, tripping, served time.

Honey served time for checking in the second period.

Holte was called for interference and hooking in the third while Liam Allen served a cross checking call.

Glasgow's PeeWee Ice Dawgs will be in Missoula Friday through Sunday, March 4-6, for the PeeWee State Tournament. Game times should be available on the Montana Amateur Hockey Association website at mthockey.com.
