Nashua’s boys basketball traveled to Scobey Jan. 14 where they fell to the Spartans 73-32.
Scobey took firm control of the game in the first quarter, 28-3, and led at the half, 43-19. After 24 minutes of play, the Porcupines trailed 63-27. Nashua was outscored 10-5 in the final quarter.
Kevan Viste scored 10 points to lead Nashua with a three-pointer and going 3-for-3 at the charity stripe. Xander Pugh added 7 points, Grady Nielsen 6, Ethan Noser 5 and Walker Laumeyer 4 points.
Nashua had 13 fouls in the game, four in the second half. Laumeyere was called for four. Noser and Caden Laumeyer had three fouls each, Viste two and Nielsen one.
Opheim’s Bo Anderson, playing for the Unified Scobey-Opheim team, scored 6 points and had one foul.
Nashua hosted the Circle Wildcats Tuesday evening but scores were unavailable at press time.
This Friday, Jan. 21, they travel to Lustre to take on the Lions. Girls JV plays at 3 p.m. and the boys JV will play at 4:30 p.m. followed by girls varsity at 6 p.m. and boys varsity at 7:30 p.m.
