Frazer Girls Lose Two

The Frazer girls basketball lost both their games this past weekend, falling 61-48 to the Coyotes in Dodson Jan. 14 and losing 75-4 to the North Country Mavericks in Hinsdale Jan. 15.

Dodson led at the end of each of the four quarters against Frazer: 11-6, 26-17, 42-20 and 61-48.

Angel Nelligan led the Bearcubs with 15 points, including four shots from downtown. Liana Jackson scored 10 points, Shakyra Beston 8, Baily Beston 7, Angeline White 4 and Isabelle Even 2 points.

Frazer had 22 fouls, 13 in the second half. Even and Jackson fouled out of the game. B. Beston had four fouls. Nelligan, Audrey Smoker and S. Beston were called for three fouls each. White had a single foul.

Saturday night the Bearcubs faced a dominant Mavericks team in Hinsdale. The host team held the Bearcubs to 4 points in 32 minutes of play. Statistics for Frazer were unavailable at press time.

Frazer hosts the Scobey Spartans Friday, Jan. 21 with the girls varsity playing at 5:30 p.m. followed by the boys at 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, the Bearcubs travel to Froid for a girls varsity game at 6 p.m. and a boys varsity game at 7:30 p.m.
